I too can't take this "cultural appropriation" thing seriously, it's such a 2018 problem, when american cooking rice was considered racism and international conflict lol
But the poster is so cringe, imagine, if Apple was Indian company, opening online store in USA and poster was Bruce Springsteen, Grand Canyon, Bald Eagle, burger and on top it was "Hawdy 'yall" - it's that level of cringe.
Please tell me you are kidding. There is nothing cringy about that poster. Its beautiful and creative. You need to chill a little. PS: I am an Indian.

I don't know if others noticed, but look closely at the design. I see a number of hidden Apple icons in there including:

Photos
App Store
iTunes
Settings
Breathe
new Siri "busy" icon
microphone icon
Safari
Activity rings
small Camera, Phone, Messages, and FaceTime icons that are cut off on the left of the screenshot in the article
three different arrow icons in the upper left that look familiar, but I can't place them definitely
cardboard box (some dev tool icon?)

And also the following non-icon Apple-related imagery:

AirPods, AirPods Pro
iPhone triple-lens camera
Apple Pencil
Apple Watch with sport band and activity rings face
matrix of circles reminiscent of Apple watch app screen

Anything I missed?

I think you meant Music app as iTunes. And, you missed the Cycle tracking app.
Those arrows on the top left denote Move/Stand/Exercise rings.

Thanks. "Music" doesn't exist to me. It's just iTunes. 😋 And I interpreted the Cycle app icon as the new Siri busy throbber in iOS 14. Not having looked extremely closely at either, they look similar.

Lol that pattern! I can almost hear stock Indian music playing softly in the background.

Isn't it cultural appropriation to just use these traditional indian patterns and the word "Namaste"? Apple really needs to revisit its colonial history and stop RAPING other cultures! Tim Apple, we want answers! /s

On a serious note, I really respect india for having such strict laws in regard to production origin of products. Maybe not Germany alone, but definitely in the context of the EU, they could pull something similar through, if they wanted and the EU-leadership wasn't so hopelessly drunk on globalism. In a way this would force companies to diversify their supply chain, because the highly-optimized single-supply-chains in China came crashing down during this year.
Yeah that Namaste thing really smacked me in the face too! May as well paint boot polish on the face of white actors playing black roles.
