Apple's Price for MBP top case and superdrive?

My buddy stepped on his macbook pro while open and the top case is messed up and the superdrive is busted... Anyone know how much that would cost for apple to fix? I'm contemplating whether the ifixit.com way is cheaper or not...?

Don't worry it'll be at least $500 for human stupidity. 😉

Don't know what level repair a Superdrive and top case come in at, nor the price at Apple.

Go to an Apple Store Genius Bar and get a quote.

Then compare and decide which way to go.
