Apple's final product in (PRODUCT)RED is no longer available, as the iPhone 14 Silicone Case in that color was marked as sold out on its online store last month.

Since 2006, Apple has partnered with the (RED) brand to raise money for The Global Fund, an organization that aims to combat diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria in Africa. Through this partnership, Apple had long offered a (PRODUCT)RED option for some products, but the color is no longer available at all.

While the (PRODUCT)RED era is over for now, the color could always make a return one day. The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will reportedly be available in a "deep red" finish, but this might look more like burgundy than bright red, so it remains to be seen if Apple revives the (PRODUCT)RED brand for that.

(RED) was co-founded by U2 singer Bono, and Apple's partnership with the brand goes back to the Steve Jobs days. Apple continues to support The Global Fund through its annual Apple Pay donation program, which raised $3 million last year. So, PRODUCT(RED) is over for now, but Apple's partnership with (RED) remains alive.

Apple offered a variety of iPod, iPhone, and Apple Watch models in (PRODUCT)RED over the years, with some of the most recent products available in the color being the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and Apple Watch Series 9. A variety of iPhone cases, Apple Watch bands, and other accessories also came in the color.

Every time there was a product red version available of what I was buying I bought it.

I suppose that Red became a victim of Apple’s efforts to preserve its profit margin.

That's the weird part.....they can still make red stuff without it being Product Red affiliated. I would say it's strange that they just stopped doing it completely, but this is the same company that didn't make a black or dark grey pro iPhone this past year.

That’s such a shame. Proceeds went to a good cause and it was a gorgeous color. For a company that keeps going on about helping people, enriching their lives, etc., not releasing a Product RED product just to keep more money for themselves is hypocritical

BOOM the proof that apple doesn’t care about sida anymore !! Same goes for the Mother Nature and all those stuff ! Apple only thinks about money, they are now on TikTok, ton of bugs on macOS 26.4 (check forums and my mac updated to 26.5 beta while betas were off), Mac Pro is gone…

PLEASE TIM COOK RETIRE !!

That iPhone 18 pro rendering is not the same shade of red as other Product (RED) products.
This is more like oxidized blood red. 😱

9 years ago Apple had just released their first (PRODUCT)RED iPhone! I can remember how excited I was collecting it in store, driving it home like a baby 😂 View attachment 2618947
I bought this phone entirely because of the colour and the ad. I had no interest in an 8 or an 8 Plus until the red one haha. It was beautiful.

Mid-cycle colours work. On me at least. I also got the mid-cycle green 13 Pro.

The bright red color was sometimes the only bold, real color on any Apple product at any given time, so it's no surprise Apple has let go of it. Still, I always found it weird that Apple worked hard to get rid of the FCC and recycling logos from the back of their iPhones but was OK with the cringey "(PRODUCT)RED" branding. Maybe just bring back a nice juicy bold red (and other colors) and skip the brand.

Whatever significance there might have been to those products, I always hated that naming architecture, regardless of where it came from. Good riddance.

Not saying that fighting Aids is a bad thing, but the Product Red organization itself, IIRC, spent almost all of the money they brought in on expenses and almost none went to actually helping those in need. Its been a while since I remember hearing anything about it, so maybe it got better recently, but that was definitely the case early on.

The point of buying a Product Red phone wasn’t that you just wanted the colour. It was that a certain amount (even if small) of the purchase price benefited someone other than shareholders.

It was something good that customers could do at no extra cost to themselves.

It’s astounding how many of the posts on here completely miss that point.
