Now if someone will just shoot Ive and roll back the horrible iOS7 changes (been using the beta, feels like horrible and tacky badly thought out, change for changes sake and android copying to me) i can look forward to upgrading.

seems to me the flash on current models is quite harsh. Could it be two less bright lights so that when combined they are the same if not more powerful and when only one is needed the pictures don't make people garishly white.

Decisions, decisions... Craigslist the 4S & pickup a new 5 for $99 at AT&T or wait this thing out for a speed bump and upgraded camera for $199...

This is only an early prototype, for all we know there will be new features in the final version... so I'm hoping.

I definitely wouldn't want NFC or Fingerprint, since they would be completely useless.

Less junk please.

I prefer it. This is a beta, understand, and some mods will likely be seen by release. But there is much more to like in what they've done, than to dislike.

If you're using the beta, and not liking it, it's because you shouldn't BE using the beta, as you are obviously not someone who it is intended for.

What's so horrible about it? I used it and liked it a lot. Also it's as if Apple can't win. If they keep everything the same people will complain that the os feels dated and apple isn't doing anything. They do this and now people are complaining about change for the sake of change.

My two-year Verizon contract is up FRIDAY. Additionally, the home-button on my iPhone 4 is nearly completely shot.

Do you think I should wait for 5S or jump on 5 now?

They could produce two complementary parts of the color spectrum. I don't know anything about white LEDs, but it may be tough to get a pure white flash as bright as they want. Using two different LEDs may be comparable to two white LEDs in terms of brightness but it may allow the camera to dynamically adjust for lightning conditions/white balance.

Anti-zombi-color mode (eat that Nokia!)

methinks that Apple's A7 chip would be as such:
  • GPU: 2x the performance or more. PowerVR Series 6 (Rogue) unleashed!
  • RAM: 1GB, no change.
  • CPU: Dual-core at 32nm, no fundamental change from A6.

Why? iOS 7's animations, translucency, parallax wallpaper effects etc. calls for a new GPU!

On the RAM side, the same 4-inch Retina Display is reused, containing the same amount of pixels. No increase in RAM (for graphics) required!

On the CPU side, the same dual-core built with a 32nm process makes sense for battery life to be maintained. Want a quad-core with the similar or lower energy consumption? We'll have to wait for a 20nm process first.

Looks as though the lower LED in the flash unit might be solely to provide a focus light - bright orange as seen in many consumer autofocus cameras.

This would allow the phone to take pictures in a dark environment, since it would be able to provide the light required to focus.

Rogue is significantly faster. I'm guessing at least 3x the polygon count. (not out of the air mind you. I just don't know what core and frequency they'll use: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powervr#Series_5XT ) The 1GB of RAM could easily be LPDDR3 now. I expect a lot of customization changes to the analog and I/O circuitry like we saw in the A5 single core for the ATV. I could also see them improving the memory interface like Qualcomm did between its first generation Krait and the 600/800 family now.

You can already use the camera LED for active notifications using the accessability option, but it doesn't stay on, you have to be near the phone to make it happen.

Wait a second. The iPhone 5s will only have an A7? I was expecting an A8 at the least, possibly an A9. It is clear they are just copying android.

OMG APPLE WHERE IS THE INNOVATION?!?!

/sarcasm
