Um... Wat?

At first I thought you were defending Beats and then you were like "They're awful!" and then you're like "Before you judge Beats, listen to them yourself!" and then you're like "Does Beats make a home theater like Bose does? NOPE!" And then you're like "Bose's home theater is good? THINK AGAIN!" And then you're like "I own Bose and Beats and I'm tired of people saying Beats is garbage! Because you know what? They are garbage!"

It's almost like you're arguing with yourself. I'm excited to see what you will come up with to shut yourself up next! I'm like a kid at a fight scene at elementary school but I'm just watching one person yelling at himself. Oh man, I wonder what MH01 will say now, OHHHHH MH01 totally rebutted. Who do you guys got? I got $5 on MH01 but you never know, MH01 might make the upset!

Thanks champ.

I see you have comprehension problems. I cannot help you with that, though practice makes perfect, keep trying .

I don't own a pair of BEATs, how on earth did you come to that conclusion?

There is no way BOSE and BEATs are the same. And when a user tells me they use other peoples opinions "audiophiles" and they themselves have not used the said products to come to their own conclusion, yeah I call that ignorance. I did not even bother telling him I'm an active audiophile on head-fi.org.

I hope this reply does not confuse you, though at the same time , please please spare me with a reply, I got lost with your "you're like" rant.

If you think that wouldn't damage Apple's brand you're a joke

It is not clear you understand what brands and branding are.

Introducing a Beats phone to target a different segment of the market would not hurt Apple's brand. It is pure speculation that they might entertain doing that but it would not hurt Apple's brand.

What Apple wants is Iovine and the streaming service. The headphones and Dr. Dre are just baggage.

Wrong

Interesting, I see your point about "the whole package" as the enticing deal - and I'm starting to agree. I guess it is a little small minded to think Apple has NO interest in the headphones. I mean 3.2 billion is a huge purchase. I guess I just have to disagree on the sundae vs. topping. Ha! In MY mind the streaming service and music ties are the best part (admittedly I want a streaming service from Apple MUCH more than I want upgraded headphones). :D

I understand those sentiments completely and the streaming service is where all the upside is. But in terms of this deal they would be getting the streaming for free, essentially, as the headphone business warrants the price. So it ends up being a strong financial investment (headphones), great synergy with apple's businesses (headphones and streaming) and huge potential upside (streaming).

I am not dismissing streaming by comparing it to a cherry. It is a cherry that could grow into a dessert factory. It is great added value to the deal.

Actually, I think it's because it's got the cherry on top that clinches the deal. Yes, Beats in terms of headphones is a profitable acquisition but if Beats had just been a headphone company, I doubt (that means it's my opinion for those of you who are easily confused) Apple would be looking to buy it.

Lets sum it up and shake hands officially.
I hope soon we will see the revamped iTunes with streaming integration. I believe Apple in cooperation with Beats streaming program can do it better than Spotify.
This acquisition was all for this about.

I'm a bit curious about this. Especially since I have been a happy Spotify subscriber for about two years now. I'm interested to see what Apple can do with Beats streaming service. I would happily switch from Spotify to a supposed iTunes streaming integration.

Just some advice for you guys:
Apple is a corporation at the end of the day. They try to find a balance between putting out good products and making shareholders happy. It's not a perfect world but it's necessary to balance things out.

Sure, audiophiles call them over-rated, over-priced and terrible quality. They've still racked up $1 billion in net worth since 2008. HTC bought majority shares so they could slap Beats on their HTC phones and it helped a lot. And then they went belly up and had to sell their shares back to keep a positive revenue in 2011.

And now Apple can just take over MOG and Beats Music and jump into streaming music with a catalog of over 10 million songs ready to go. Link it to iTunes and sell it to Beats purchasers (who also usually buy iPods) and you're generating a sales basket for hundreds of thousands of users that is probably over 50% in pure revenue. From a business perspective, this is purely genius.

You guys criticize Apple's decisions a lot but maybe if you were people who were actually WILLING to spend money on not just the laptops and phones (which don't actually generate that much profit for them), they'd care about your opinions.

I don't see iPhone owners buying up millions of pairs of Sennheisers and signing up for music streaming. But Beats headphones? Anyone willing to buy those is someone willing to spend on other things too. Those are the people corporations care about.

you guys should use a logo like this

Apple beats, im all for it. if my next iphone comes with beats headphones id be happy. so hopefully their deal goes through
