Services have been more than Mac sales for quite some time now.

And corporate America learned along time ago that servicing items is bigger than selling them.

See General Motors.
Services are another name for "Subscriptions". Subscription is the human equivalent of what happens in the natural world when certain creatures evolve from predator to parasite.

This has not been my experience as a business owner. Lower prices garner a wider customer base which leads to a larger adoption rate. I believe the reason more people do not own these devices is because they are priced beyond their reach, the sheer size of the second-hand market for apple products proves this point.
I saw the opposite, I increased my prices and got more sales. It seems some people value things by how much they pay for them. There was a brand of beer that used to advertise their product as "Reassuringly Expensive" in the UK. The term in economics is Veblen goods.

Services revenue was up. Again. No surprise there, but I doubt any of that gets passed on to the employees who support those services. That’s one reason I left Apple. Record revenue and profit for Services, very minimal salary increases (<3% for the top performers) for the employees.

Wait a second here. I thought I was reading that is was all "doom & gloom" since iPhone 16 sales were down. So which is it? up or down?
The people that were saying below expectations made it clear that it was below their PERSONAL expectations. They had no idea what Apple’s expectations were (and it’s as clear now as it was then). They get paid to write, so the ALWAYS have to write something, regardless of if it’s based on facts or based on “guess I need to write a thing to make more money!”
