I doubt it too, but not for this reason. My reason: it's a terrible name, one that was created out of whole cloth by the Apple rumors community as a placeholder for an Apple wearable tech product that nobody really knows anything about. It doesn't get any better or more plausible by repetition.

I agree it's a bad name and we probably won't see it, but apple did start out trademarking the name in the countries they could.

I'm pretty sure I could create a chart showing how well I planned on performing in the next few months.

Apple probably trademarks hundreds if not thousands of names, most of which don't get used for any products. It doesn't mean very much, and it also seems to me that the rumors community and tech media "decided" on this name before these trademarks were even filed. And notice how the article says that the "trademark is related to Apple's smart watch project" without providing any evidence to support this.

Everyone said the same about iPad and Macbook (and probably a bunch of other products) when they launched too.

Power book -> macbook.

Horrible devolution of a product name. I had a Power book and I've bought think pads since, so yes it matters to me.

I am a much bigger fan of the old Apple staggered releases. IPad in March, iPhone in June, etc. . Not a fan of the dump in the fourth quarter.

Agreed. Basically every year is just hold your breath until Sept/Oct. If you have another time of year you need to buy something you are just out of luck on getting the newest technology.

iPad works though. iTime describes a device that tells time. That sounds pretty boring if u ask me. But who knows..if it winds up being called iTime, it'll be a household name within the first year.
