Remote would go from cool to *amazing* -- even indispensable in my house if this slick little app would include the basic "up/ down/ left/ right/ Play[Pause]" and "Menu" options for our Apple TV (and Front Row, etc).

Remote team, if you read this, hear o hear my plea!

My apple remote application doesnt seem to be connecting to my library. I've installed the app onto my ipod touch and load to the screen where it says to enter this passoword. however when i open itunes nothing appears in the device section.....

any ideas?

Make sure your iPod Touch and your computer are running on the same network.

I was at Mellow Mushroom in town last night, and as their music was playing through I started wondering about restaurants that might take advantage of iTunes 8 and the iPhone Remote app. First of all, it'd be great to be able to see what's playing using the app. Secondly, I think it could add quite a bit of atmosphere to the place to have a selection of songs that the people dining at the restaurant could choose from.

Anyone seen this anywhere they've been, or do folks think it would be a complete bomb?

iPhone Remote no longer works

I have been using 'remote' on and off for a while now but for some reason it decided that it couldn't find my library. The upshot is I deleted that connection and tried to create a fresh one. I get a passcode come up on the iPhone but nothing to enter it into on the mac in iTunes even after selecting the phone in the list of devices.
Any ideas?
My Mac is connected using Airport to my modem/router.

I've been using my iPhone Remote application a lot lately and I have to admit that it's a pretty sweet application.
