No doubt they will sound good, it's APPLE, I was more focused on how you are going to get households to shell out that kind of money for multiple pairs or even 1 pair for most homes.. do you have a sound system in every room and will you choose to run to that room to activate Siri on it?? I don't think it will be as Game Changing as the iPod in their revenue stream but time will tell, IMO it will be comparable to Apple TV in terms of their sales/profit growth, it is not a game changer.

You do not need 2 of them per room. You can, but you do not absolutely need.

The Homepod is stereophonic, and it will bounce sound off the wall and delight you probably.

If you are a high roller and want sound throughout the house, it can be a major pain running wires everywhere, and then you have an amp etc etc. A couple thousand dollars and you have engineered sound with Homepods in a lot of rooms of a fairly decent McMansion, and hey, the setup time that you save is probably worth $400 savings right there. Who wants to fool around with a multi-room stereo system? If you are a rich dude, your time is worth getting something like this from Apple. And it works well with Apple TV and all your iPhone friends who come over to add songs to the playlist.

Boom - you are done and ready for a party.

They will sell a lot of these. Bye bye Bose and Harmon Kardon.

This will be yet another money maker for Apple. Not a game changer though - I agree, but who really knows. Apple is going for smart home tech.

i am pretty sure tomorrow apple stock gonna skyrocket....

I dunno. I really hope it does, but it often takes a week for news to sink in.

I bought some call options ($157.50) for the near future, so I do really hope you are right! :)

The announcements today are solid - for hardware and software. Augmented Reality Kit will be very cool. HomePods are interesting.

Nothing I want to buy, today. A $350 7-inch tall speaker? A $5K all-in-one that can't be upgraded? A tablet that is over $100? No Netflix in the TV App?

This close to switching to Windows 10.

You must have missed how important the changes are in macOS. Instant copy and duplication is going to impossible to live without.

iOS 11 on the iPad is a massive change and finally brings desktop level computing experience to the tablet.
Being able to get a XEON and ECC memory in a IMAC is pretty cool.

Neither OS is available today, and the iMac Pro is here in December! The brand new iPad will be the same as the old one until September. So...oo..o.

Profit taking across the tech industry because they are confident there is growth to come. They take some profit now to invest elsewhere. They also have to take money to make up for losses in sterling and gold that happened this morning.

The funny thing is that when the big firms take profits then the computer systems belonging to the smaller firms automatically sell stock because of the dip. Silly.

So essentially BTFD!!!!

Basically the large funds control the game. If they want stocks prices to be overweight they do it, if they want to cause dips and then buy low again, they do it. It's a rigged game with nobody in charge because everyone plays along, including small time home based day traders who try to do the same thing by trolling the internet.
