Does the TV App need that?

To be pedantic, "Ahead of TODAYS launch".

Which wouldn't be "ahead" I guess.

It's already Tuesday 11am here in australia.

To be correct in terms of punctuation, it should read, “ahead of today’s launch.” Period inside of quotation marks. :p

Works for me. Just watched Corrie without having to airplay from the CBC app on my iPhone.

Yeah buddy!

Do you get Corrie in HD on it?

I’m really interested to know how it works with the TV app and the quality of the picture.

Ah, wish it was in the UK already.

It captures the home button press to take you to the TV app. Long press on the home button does what it did previously.

This is crappy - please just let me navigate around like I did before. I'm not interested in being directed into the TV app - If I want to go there I can select it myself.

I don't have cable. In Canada. Can I now pay for an HBO subscription with this?

Sadly, no. Bell owns HBO Canada, and they'd much rather you sign up for FibeTV or satellite, or even through another cable provider.

You can use TMN GO on your phone or iPad and AirPlay it to an Apple TV, but you need to subscribe to the channel to do that.

Any updates are usually released at 10:00 Pacific Daylight Time I think that's 3am Wednesday depending on your Australian Time Zone

In settings there is an option to let you go straight home instead of the TV app.

Still not on any of my iOS devices. Weird. Any remedy to this? I’ve tried restarting, I’ve even changed my region to the US temporarily and I still have the Videos app instead of the TV app.

There's gotta be something wrong with this. I still don't have the TV app on any of my iOS devices. It is on my AppleTV though.

My gf just updated to iOS 11 on her iPhone and the tv app shows

I was running betas on my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Tv app is only showing on my Apple TV. Looks like I’ll probably have to wait for the next iOS update for the tv app to show.

I might have found the problem! Those of you who had removed the Video app in the past and redownloaded it from the App Store might not get the updated TV app automatically. Instead, delete the Video app and then go to the App store and search for "Apple TV". You'll be able to download the TV app!
