Whatever happened to this migrating from the US?

Wasn't it at WWDC last year that this was announced?

IMO its a terrible app and badly design, I have tired using it various times, but is meh. So don't me sad you aren't missing out IMO

I don't think it's a "terrible" app but it definitely can use some TLC and new features to make it more useful.

I just don't know what it would have in a UK version? There aren't many apps outside iPlayer and Netflix (which I don't think use it) that would fit in to it - TVPlayer maybe?.

I can't imagine Now TV/Sky signing up for it, and I'd be surprised if Amazon will be using it

Tim Cook said during this week's WWDC keynote that Amazon Video will be supporting the TV app.

Indeed it does. That's one of the top items on my wish list for the TV app. Especially for sports and news apps that have live feeds. Of course, these apps will also have to support the TV app for this to work.

It also needs a mirror function where all ATVs you sign in on have the exact same settings and layout so the experience is the same in every room. It was a pain setting up three ATVs the same way.

That's not specific to the TV app, but this feature is coming in tvOS 11.
