That supposed to be funny and you have nothing to say positive about a very positive news for Apple? I wonder where is my stock gif for trolls...

Get your facts straight, because positive news for Apple means bad news for the consumers.
What happened to Macs when it became popular, they increased the price...
What happened to iPhones when they became popular, they increased the price...
What happened to iPads when they became popular, they increased the price...
What will happen to Apple watches when they become popular, well one must be utterly sheep to not see that...

I post this GIF one more time, especially since you have missed the facts for the last couple of years with Cook in charge.

Maybe because while the iPad hardware has 10,000% since the iPad 1 the software has improved 20%. (iOS not apps)

It’s just as telling to the success of their wearables and accessories, as it is to how much they are dropping the ball when it comes to their Mac line up.

It's kinda funny how MR members claimed half of these products were going to fail.
Apple - 1, MacRumors Forums - 0

From all these years using this forum, what I have learned is: take the negativity of forum users here with a pinch of salt! Users here seem to prefer to be negative just about any product released from Apple. Even for the ones that have not been released! They seem to know it "all"

The flop that wasn't.
Yeah remember when people called the Apple Watch a flop and thought it was ridiculous people would “ever want to wear a watch when people can tell time on their phone”? That didn’t turn out so well for them

I guess Apple's name change back in 2007 has proven to be the great indicator. I don't really care about any other products from Apple other than the new iMac I'm hoping is going to be rolled out this spring. (Fingers crossed.)

Let’s not forget Apple Watch Edition failed miserably… Also the original Apple Watch and software was a joke. Yea Apple Watch is good now but back then it was a joke.
The AW was fine and the series 0 was fine. They did what they were supposed to do, create buzz, lead the wearables market, and sold well enough that Apple kept development going. Every journey begins with a first step. Sheesh.

The bad side of this is that Tim Cook will see it as an additional motive to neglect the Mac even more.

I agree.

My backup plan is to simply get a Mac Mini and a monitor. Which, given the dozen or so Macs I've owned over the years, should last me as long as the one I'm currently sitting in front of, six years. Who knows what could happen between now and 2025? (I mean good stuff. LOL)

I find this sad, not because I’m opposed to these categories doing well (love my Watch), but that they are (taken together it has to be said) close to outselling the mac... - the direction of travel in recent years is clearly to concentrate on this stuff and iOS devices whilst not paying as much attention to traditional computers. Longest updates between refreshes and then prices rise when they do, eventually, arrive. I think it’s a shame.

It’s been clear since the first AppleWatch that wearables were going to be the next big market for Apple and many here on MacRumors and around the web keep missing the cues replicated by the iPod and iPhone showing how Apple products evolve into big hits. Even more of you will still refuse to believe that a wearables combo of AppleWatch, AirPods and Glasses will inevitably replace the iPhone.

While my Apple watch hasn't got to the point where I can ditch my phone, this will all change when Apple releases bendable phones. I predict bracelet type devices which one can view info on their wrist or remove and fold out will be the next big thing in wearables.

This type of useless gimmicks will not take off, at least you will not see Apple doing this in next 10 yrs. Bendable phones need to die.

That's what happens when they:
  • Annually upgrade a device
  • Don't "courageously" remove I/O
  • Don't significantly overprices it
  • Don't cut corners that lead to faulty screens, thermal throttling...
  • Don't add gimmicky "features"

Funny how those overpriced devices that haven't been updated in years, are thermally throttled, have budget GPU's, and constantly break (laptop keyboards and screens) aren't selling as well...

Oh look everyone! I found one of them negative Mac Rumors users!

Your lack of hindsight is disappointing. Do you honestly believe that the iPhone will keep the same form factor? Are you content with shoving your phone in your pocket when not in use all the time?

The series 0 launched on two year old hardware with beta software.

Neglect the Mac? Who told you that?

iMac is waiting for 9th gen chips from Intel and new GPUs from AMD, while the Mac Pro is in the process of a major re-architecting.

Notebooks are 80% of Apple’s sales, and they’ve been updated within the last six months, as was the Mac mini.

Apple is not updating Macs and that's why sales are stagnating.
Mac sales just had their highest revenue in Apple’s history, $7.4 billion. Up 9% year over year.

Apple has updated the models that make up 80%+ of sales. That’s why this quarter (Q1FY19) set a new record, even higher than the previous quarter (Q4FY18)—which was itself a new record high.

This is not negative comment just realistic one.

iPhone has been the same form factor since 2007 except screen size bigger. Don't expect dramatic change like bendable screen, it's all gimmicks.
