Well, I'm a little disappointed no one has linked to the obligatory XKCD Standards comic on here yet. Don't worry, I'll add it.

That's better. In all seriousness, this might be quite useful going forward for cross-compatible web dev. At least we won't need to rely on another js framework or something. Well, we will. We'll still be supporting legacy devices but graceful degradation and all that.

It's a laptop. Expect to plug it in sometimes if you have to use it.

I expect to plug it in every 4-6hrs. And I expect I'd have to plug it in more often with more powerful 3D graphics running in my browser.

I think I'd like to see a native "use descrete graphics only" mode. I think it will show up at some point.

Aren't GPU's used when streaming/playing video? Even remotely?

Something is wrong with that site if an iPhone has no trouble playing videos but your Mac does. And I have never had issues outside of bad cell connection or poor wifi at work when it comes to videos.
