Well I dappled in Python and HTML when I was in high school but beyond that I have no programming training. I moved from windblows after 18 years and now that i discovered the wonderful world that is Macintosh for some reason I have the itch to do some scripting.

Does anyone know any books geared towards Mac newbs AND Programming newbs?

I was going to play it safe and go with "Applescript for dummies" but the dummy series is hit or miss. Some are great and some are absolutely horrible. anyone have any suggestions? thanks.
