macOS Applescript - Need help with user input into Excel

Hi

I need some advice with my script, and after searching online without any results, I hope someone here can help me.

In my script I display a dialog to the user. The user has to enter a number. I am going to use this number in Excel. This number indicates how many rows I am going to need in Excel. Every row in Excel should have a number in column A. The number row starts with 1 in A2, 2 in A3 and so on. It needs to fill out as many rows, as the user filled out in the dialog.

I hope it makes sense and I've attached an image to display, what I mean.

Is there some reason the dialog box needs to be in AppleScript?

You can create them in Excel. What does the whole process you're creating need to do?
