AppleScript question:

Most of the Mac OS X applications that I try don't seem to be recordable with the Script Editor. QuickTime Player and iTunes work, but TextEdit and the Finder don't. Is it me, or are many of Apple's applications really not recordable?

Does anyone know of a list of which of Apple's Mac OS X applications are scriptable, recordable, both, or neither? I've been to a dozen AppleScript sites but haven't found the answer.

the finder isn't recordable, are apple nukinfutz ?

The reasons for staying with OS 9 and waiting for everyone else to ride out the very long and expensive beta phase of OS X and software updates to add up to usable system just keep mounting up.

I wouldn't be surprised if I can't switch 100% to OS X till the 970 based macs have been out for a while. I can do without the apple menu and pop up windows of OS 9 but removing some basic features that really seperate the mac os from windows or even GEM really bugs me.
