Hello Everyone,

I've noticed that even prior to the 11.4 tvOS update, that my AppleTV 4K will never go to sleep. I have it set to go to sleep after 30 minutes, but it seems that it just remains on with the white LED always lit. I have my TV connected to the AppleTV 4K, and it is a Samsung KS8000 model.

If anyone has any thoughts on how to fix the issue, please let me know. All of your time and help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,
Asif

Try changing the time period and see if it will goto sleep then try setting it again. If that doesn’t work Try resetting it back to default

Same problem here. ATV 4K won’t sleep. I’ve changed it from 30 to 60 mins and back. Stays on...white light never goes out. Also seems to need an unplug reboot more often than my non 4K ATVs. Samsung 6500 tv

I found this has something to do with Samsung TVs and the universal remote feature. Turn off the universal remote for the ATV on the Samsung TV itself and the ATV should then sleep.

Thanks Everyone.

In regards to the Universal Remote, I don't see any AppleTV listed under my universal remote. This is what I see with my Samsung TV currently:

It looks like I have NOT setup any type of universal remote with my Samsung TV so far. Correct?

Thanks again everyone for your time and help, it is greatly appreciated!

Go to sources and then select your Apple TV like this. If you have universal remote set up, it will say it is and you then remove it.

Hey TooDarkPark,

This is what I see when I go to sources and select AppleTV:

No "Universal Remote" option is listed. As far as I can remember, I never set anything up specifically for the AppleTV remote or Samsung Remote control.

Thoughts? Thanks again for all of your time and help, it is greatly appreciated!
