AppleTV: Air Tunes streaming

It has been reported on MacRumors that while streaming music from your Mac to your TV via iTunes, you can control the playback (play/pause, skip) with your TV remote.

I suspect that those able to do this are using an unpaired remote which is in fact controlling their Mac and not their TV.

I'm streaming music from iTunes on my Mac to my TV and the remote doesn't control the playback at all.

Make sure "Allow iTunes control from remote speakers" is checked in iTunes Preferences (under Advanced.) Seems to be a delay of a few seconds between pressing play/pause on the Apple Remote and iTunes responding, but it's working here (and my remote is paired to the AppleTV).

This deffinitely works. DIscovered this 2 nights ago. Been using Airtunes for a few years and thought about that setting right away and gave it a try.
