AppleTV automatically switches user profiles

Hi,

After updating to tvOS 13.2 I noticed that I was logged in with my mom's user account that I've set up about a week ago (so it automatically switched user accounts). I switched back to my account, put the AppleTV to sleep and then today evening when I woke it up I noticed that I was logged in again with my mom's account.

Anyone else experiencing this issue and knows a fix?

I'm having the same issue, to the point i might just delete the other profile, its not all that useful to me anyway.

Question, have either u guys recently delete a device from your iCloud settings?

I setup my Apple TV as brand new and didn’t have the issue

I then removed my old watch from iCloud settings and then next day it was automatically switching users on the Apple TV.

I think each time u remove a device from iCloud, it resets all the tokens on the other devices and u need to usually re enter your Apple ID password. I suspect this is confusing the Apple TV some bit.

I did indeed delete a device (in mid October). But the switching profiles issue started with tvOS 13.2.

Could it be not many are using profiles? I tried it and couldn’t really see the point.

I agree that it's not as useful as it could potentially be e. g. it would be awesome if it would also switch the photo library but unfortunately it doesn't.

Agree, so now I’m back to using just one profile. It would have been slightly better if there was maybe an icon (profile pic) of the current user on the top of the screen. Doesn’t have to be big or intrusive, just so you can glance and see who’s profile is in use.
