Out of nowhere one of my AppleTVs just stopped working. Went into son’s room and TV shows no signal and appletv is just flashing.

No. Via USB-C cable.

If you’re having problems, you can reset Apple TV 4K to its factory settings, and optionally update to the latest version of tvOS, as well.

If powering off for ~10 minutes doesn't resolve it, you'll need to take it into an Apple Store.

This happened to me 4 months ago. The only option to fix this is to go to the Apple Store.
When I had to go there, originally they said I'll have to pay ~£80 to get it repaired. I was pissed off because this wasn't my fault, it's their ridiculous update that killed my Apple TV.
Eventually they turned around and instead got me a replacement Apple TV for free.
