appleTV or used mac mini?!

I am wondering...


i am beginning to think that a used mac mini (for roughly $200 for a g4) and a dvi-hdmi cable hooked up to my flatscreen would be just as good, or even a better option, then buying an appletv...!


what do you guys think of that?

so it's still pretty uncertain exactly what appletv will do?

upsides of mac mini over appletv: own internet browser, centralized media, can access any iphoto's/itunes through shared media, can act as an ichat video chat center...

downsides of mac mini over appletv: no remote, not new... no new interface, is that it?!
