Recently, my AppleTV will no longer find my MacBook Air and its iTunes library.

They are both on the same WiFi network. Tried restarting the AppleTV Nothing works.

Log out of home sharing on the Apple TV
Restart
Log back in to home sharing
restart
Should work now

The other alternative is to rename library on the server
(preferences, name of library, restart iTunes). This was what I did at first before I figured out the sequence above.

2 of my Apple TV 3's have done this for years.

Ok. Just got a new AppleTV 4K today. It’s doing the same thing...will not find the iTunes library that is set to share. Tried the sequence above on this and still no luck.

What kind of router are you using? Some routers don't support Bonjour out of the box, or need UPNP enabled. Home Sharing\Air Play use Bonjour to find the devices on the network.

Also, make sure iTunes is up to date.

And, make sure the same AppleID is used for Home Sharing on all of the devices.

I will have to check the router. It has always worked but, a recent firmware update on the router may be the culprit.
[doublepost=1519247755][/doublepost]Nothing seems amiss with the router. I'm at a loss

OK, so you just bought a 4K? Call AppleCare, they will walk you through all the known troubleshooting they know. You have 30 days to return and item, so they are motivated to help new purchase users.
