Great watch but color scheme doesn’t cut it. Why only silver
For the Finnish of the watch why not gun metal or gold or space black options?????
I guess Apple wasn’t to confident in this product and didn’t want to carry too many SKU’s

That must be it. A company like Apple, on the precipice of financial disaster, would be wise to not take any risks on its only cash cow - the Apple Watch.

It‘s obviously nothing of the sort. Why is the MacBook not offered in tangerine? Why is the iPhone not in puce? Because Apple’s marketing team figured that the colour combinations, or not, made the most sense for the product.

The Ultra is clearly not being marketed as a fashion item.

It’s not meant to be a fashion piece like series 8 etc it’s built for durability and if it was painted any scratch would show bare metal. If you want a designer watch get the series 8 SS or Series 7 SB Ti

The Apple Watch ultra has a 1-2 week lead time, where I can order a graphite or silver stainless Apple Watch 8 and have it delivered in a day or two.

Not really unconfident so much as being so new and vastly different from typical Watches. It does make sense to start with one style or configuration and see how well it does before introducing newer options, and it's not the first time Apple has introduced new things in exactly one main configuration

Personally I’m glad they chose Titanium as the colour choice for the first Ultra as that is my preferred colour and finish. My previous and other watch is a Series 5 Titanium.
