i have an ibook g4...
and i was prompted by a secure site to download a multimedia plug in...did so and installation was unsuccessful (not concerned.) now upon trying to launch photoshop cs3...i am getting this error message:

The application "Photoshop" could not be launched because of a shared library error:
"A<application><Apple;Carbon;Multimedia><CFMPriv_DVComponentGlue>

i trashed the plug in files and even re-installed photoshop to no avail. what is this crap?

Other people have gotten this error because the DVComponentGlue framework wasn't where Mac OS X expected it to be; if you don't have this framework on your hard disk, try using Pacifist to extract a new copy from the Mac OS X combo updater (for whichever version you have running).
