Application to transmit audio from one mac to another?

Hi,

I am using ARD to monitor a few macs. I would like to be able to listen to the system audio on those macs in addition to all the other stuff that ARD provides. I have tried apps like Airfoil, which would be pretty much perfect except it is seen by the user and can be closed by them.

Are there any applications/methods for 'listening in' on another mac that run in the background i.e. in much the same way that users don't know when they are being watched or not with ARD.

Another application I have found is Nicecast. However I really need something that would run in the background.
