I guess I accidentally put my Applications Folder in the Trash. I followed the directions of another post to drag it the the HD Icon and I get the following error: "“Applications” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X." Any suggestions? :(
 
Have you tried right clicking on it and selecting "Put Back"?
Do you have a recent Time Machine backup?
Do you have a Restore or Upgrade DVD for Mac OS X?

And what Mac OS X version are we talking about?
 
Have you tried opening the Applications Folder in the trash, "selecting all," and then moving the selected items to the Applications folder in your hard drive?
