hi.
I am about to update my mac with a new, larger HDD, and I just want to make a copy of the one I have. I have Time Machine backups.

when I do the installation of the new OS X, I dont want to reinstall all applications individually.
is it possible, just to move all applications from the Time Machine?

Either during the installation you can choose to migrate files or use the Migration Assistant after the installation is complete.

When I used migration assistant I'd say 99% of my apps came over fine - even big apps like Photoshop. A couple required I re-enter my license key, but that was it.
