Hello, first of all, I apologize for my English

I'm new to the Mac OS X operating system, migrated from Windows and I'm a cruel doubts.

I created 3 partitions on my 1TB HD, 1 for system, 1 for applications and 1 for file backup. My doubt is, when I install an application rather than drag it to the Applications folder I can drag the partition you created for applications? I'll win something in this performance, as it was in Windows, or should I leave applications in the Applications folder?

I thank you all!

not really a good idea.. there is no speed gain (not even under Windows). You could have on a different drive, but not a different partition.
