Apply pay in messages

Hi

I don't have the BETA installed on my phone but was wondering if anyone knew whether the payments that can be made inside the messages app can send different currencies?

For example, if I wanted to send some money to a friend in Ireland what would they receive since I would be sending the money in GBP and his currency is EUR?

Is that even possible? Will it convert the currency or will they have have a credit in GBP?

Ah OK thanks. Be interesting to know if they've looked into this or whether they assume its just people who live in the same country that would use this.

question about what defines "USA".

is this tied to a setting with the currently used apple iCloud ID tied to a USA based credit card with a person's billing address in the USA?
or,
is it tied to a person's iOS device Regional Preference settings
or,
is it tied to a credit card associated and used for apple Pay in wallet?

also, its likely that both sender and receiver need to both have iCloud IDs within the same country?
so "international" transfers probably aren't planned for a while, but only domestic transfers?
