Can't you just find a store in a nicer neighborhood?

And I have to suggest, if you live in a neighborhood this bad, then surely carrying around or having an AVP sitting around your apartment or house would be just as bad a choice as even carrying it out the mall.

And.. should you really spend this kind of money instead of moving to a nicer place?

There seems to be a stark mismatch between your living situation and what you're spending thousands of dollars on.

Like, I can also move to a much cheaper place and buy a decked out Mac Studio to celebrate how much money I'm going to save. But then I can't ever leave that apartment, if you know what I'm saying?!
Yeah like other poster said you made a lot of assumptions. My mall near by me which has the Apple Store had to ban teens from the mall 2 years ago because they were fighting. We still have a lot of issues outside of that. Just so you know both my wife and I are in the health field making 6 figures.

It’s a legitimate concern anywhere.

The high end malls where Apple locates its stores draw from a huge trade area.

The wrongos know which malls draw affluent shoppers and they go where the money is.

One of the comments here seemed to assume that if you shopped in a “good” area that you’d be safe. That’s a horrible assumption.

I’m glad you made this post. It’s a good reminder about situational awareness. Have fun with your VP.

I am going to have them check the fit and help me set it up. When I leave it's going home in large beat up Costco Bag I'm bringing with me. 😁 My Rolex I bought a while back went home in a wrinkled Target Bag.

I thought they needed you to do the setup in the store in order to pick the right size light seal for your head. I read there are 28 different size options, and you get one in two variations, thick and thin.

The YouTubers got them delivered. You do the sizing on the app before buying.

Really, I might be envying you that you get apple products first in the U.S., but I‘m definitely not envying you for your crime rates. Sounds horrible and quite restricting to have to think about where to go and whether it‘s a „bad“ or „good, area. Stay safe!

If I'm dropping this much money, I want to make sure it fits before I leave the store. I have bought cars for cheaper than this, it would be worth it to me to take the time and setup in store.
