Hi all, just found a cool app for my iphone 4, alarm clock pro, only cost me 59p and it looks great.

I have a question about its energy usage when running overnight, it needs to be running in order for the alarm function to work.

What are the chances this will drain the battery more than the usuall 1-2 percent overnight.

Also how about leaving the display showing the time all night, ie no auto locking, would this burn the image into my display like you used to see on old moniters and some atm machines these days, I know its a new type of display but better to be safe than sorry.

Looking forward to your input ;)

If the app works like it should, it probably won't affect the battery much at all. Apple wouldn't allow the app if it was a battery hog in that sense.

As far as not locking it overnight, bad idea, that WILL drain your battery. Nothing to worry though about having the image burned onto the display.
