Apps for Websites?!!

Amazon and eBay show up perfectly well in Safari on my iPad. But they spent time and money and published individual apps?!! WHY?!! 😕

I like the apps. The ebay app is awesome as is usatoday's.

Because they can make better apps for viewing their products. I much prefer the Amazon app over their website (which I think sucks - there is so much junk on each product page you have to scroll up and down just to find reviews/products specs).
