iPad Air Apps freezing

I am writing to see if anybody experienced similar issues. I have upgraded my Mom from older iPad to new 2020 iPad Air 2020. My Mom loves form factor, quality etc. However she has issue with games like Candy Crush or Pyramid Solitaire plus others. Basically games from King freeze and in order to be played is to force close them. Other apps like youtube, weather, different news apps work OK. I am wondering if it is iPad Air hardware, iOS 14 or app issue. My Mom is little upset because she loves those games. Everything worked without issues on her older iPad. Did anybody experienced similar isse?

Are the latest versions of those games loaded onto the new iPad Air to ensure they're compatible with iOS 14, or were they restored from a backup from the older device?

Some of them are new install and still happening 🙁

Sounds like some apps need more work either with the iPad or the new iOS version.

I am hoping that this is the reason. Their games are fairly popular so I am hoping that they are working on it.
