Has anyone found a way to remove the apps from slider view? I love the idea of having them there to slider over and use, but it takes forever to sort through all of them. Why in the world would I want Tips as a multitasking option?? If I could turn the feature on and off for each app, that would certainly be idea.

Seems like I interpreted the question as being about something else.

I was coming here to post the same exact question.

I really don't need Tips, Podcasts, Game Center, FaceTime, etc. since I never or very rarely use them.

Nope. No way to remove them. What's there is there.

    yeah what is Slider/Multi-tasking?

I took it as the double-click to show the apps that have been opened and not closed down. to close them down, simply swipe the App up.

I don't see any of the apps you mentioned anywhere in my view of things

Slide from the right edge to the center of the screen on an iPad. A dark grey "ribbon" will appear with a bunch of apps that you can scroll up and down through.

Recently used ones do appear at the very bottom at least. Guess you'll just have to open all the frequently used apps once so they stay near the bottom of the list.

The multitasking slide-over feature. Not the app switcher.

Ahh. Thanks. My iPad 2 hasn't been updated nor will it support this. I'd guess
Thanks for the update. Sorry you can't remove them.

Being a fool here. But you can't swipe them away. Trying to reread the above.

As was pointed out above, recent apps are at the bottom. If you never use Tips or FaceTime they'll remain at the top and you'll never have to see them. The only way you'd see them is if you scroll too far. It shouldn't take too long before it becomes a habit.

I agree with this problem, perhaps not now but once more and more developers include multitasking the list is going to be very long and at least I wouldnt mind no seeing podcast, gamecenter etc there

Filtering out a few apps isn't going to help much with the problem of there being a lot of apps in the list. It's good that it sorts on recent use, but frankly, it needs to be completely redesign.

Why not just use icons? Put the Siri suggestions in there and then just give us a scaled down version of the homescreen. The iPads still have fewer icons per page on the homescreen than iPhones do so fitting the icons in the slide in view shouldn't be a problem.
