I'm imagining my usage of Apple Vision Pro and just realized that me using alternative software such as 1Password instead of Keychain probably will not be possible.
Probably not completely true.
First, Apple has a standard foundational library feature for a designated password autofill service.
Streamline your app’s login and onboarding procedures.

Second, 1Password has been working with this on iPad ( and iPhone).

What 1Password can do on iPadOS probably isn't much different from what can do on VisionOS.
Similarly iOS/iPadOS allows to designate a authentication service ( and verification codes )
Make it easy for users to log into apps and services.

If you want to completely avoid autofill and use some of the esoteric features of 1Password there could be gaps.
Autofill wont necessarily work on sites that are particularly problematical. But navigation to basic sites shouldn't be a huge problem.
Apple has been laying the ground work for this for several years. Stuff like copy/paste isn't going to take 'forever'. ( probably something like if stare at a word for a while and do the 'right click' gesture then contextual menu pops up. Similar to like how on iPad you do a finger down on a word for a while... get a contextual menu. ) . 1Password runs just fine as an iPadOS app so shouldn't be a huge leap of just interacting with the app direction if just poking around at the data stored there.
Apple is probably going to so deeply integrate its own software products into Apple Vision Pro, that full usage and enjoyment will not be possible using 3rd party software.
Apple's new push on passkeys hasn't blocked 3rd party apps at all. There are new APIs to adopted, but they haven't really tried to make iCloud Keychain your only possible option.
Apple has been 'beating the drum' on SwiftUI , ARKit , UIKit , etc. for several years. Apps that have been adopting the new modern options for building apps across iPadOS and macOS should have relatively few issues working.
The developers who have considered Apple's building "kits" not useful and hacked their way around APIs to do things their way ... built their own custom widgets stack that operate differently than Apple's guidelines ... etc those apps will have more problems. 1Password is
far more in the first camp than the second.
