Apps missing after impoting iTunes library

Using Lion and iTunes 10 on my iMac.

The screen saver setting that shows album artwork stopped working on my machine, so I read that recreating the iTunes library will fix it. So I followed this procedure (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451) and it fixed THAT problem.

But now my iTunes library does not show any app, I see the Apps folder, but it's empty. How can I fix this problem?
