This is killing me and i've been puting up with it for days now!!!
when i launch a app any app it might launch it might not, what it does is bounce once then stops. restart fixes this for a while but then when i go to launch another app it happens again, i should no have to restart a mac every 5 seconds. can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Try creating a new user account in System Preferences and see if the apps launch form there consistently. If they do, then the problem is within your Home folder. Also, is this with Apple apps, third party apps, or both? 🙂

I've tried Repairing Permissions and a new account, still no luck
apple software and 3rd party seem to be affected

Have you tried to 'update prebinding'

Usually if an app (or a bunch of them) crashes on start, it is something worth trying.
