Apps not on iPad & iPhone?

Hi Guys
Hope you can help with this one. I have one apple ID which I have for my iPad 2 and iPhone 4. Until recently, when I put an app on the iPad it would automatically download onto my iPhone (unless it was an iPad only app of course). Now this is stopped happening although I haven't changed any settings on them. The only thing I have done is change my apple ID email address as we changed ISP. Any ideas?

Yes and hae been since Christmas 2011. It has worked up to now.

Automatic downloads are enabled as well I assume

Just checked and strangely no. I hadn't turned them off. Turned them back on now. Now I feel stupid!
