Apps not opening

Is anyone else having this problem? When I try to open a app that isn't from apple, the screen fades like it is about to open then it just returns to the home screen. This occurs on every app.

Using an iPad 1 if that matters.
 
Delete a free app and then redownload it. I don't remember where I saw it, but I had the same problem and it worked for me
