Anyone else having the problem where an application closes the second you open it? Is this the fix that Steve Jobs was referring to? if I delete a paid application, will I have to pay again to download it.

Thats the one they are referring to. Itunes should keep track of your purchased apps, so you will not be charged again. Here is a link that may help:

if you delete you wont have to repay for the app when you go to download it again it will recognize that you already bought it and you wont have to pay again
