Yesterday I hit "Update All" and the little icons started spinning and I went about doing other things while the updates occurred. Well it has been almost 2 days now and they are all still spinning. Resets and Hard Resets do nothing. Any apps that have been added to the Update screen since this started get updated immediately (I guess because "Update all" is constantly running. It's these specific apps that are stuck. And if you touch the spinning icon the app actually opens, it does not stop the update or do anything else.

Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?

Delete them using iTunes and then reinstall them.

Same here, only solution is what Julien suggests. Delete then reinstall.

Question I have is this, if you delete via itunes, do you have to sync the apps in itunes as well, or is it simply deleting via itunes?

Why delete from iTunes? You can delete and install apps on the device easily. I'm honestly surprised people even remind me that syncing to iTunes is still technically possible. I guess not everyone has cut the cord.

Just delete them on your phone. The problem in my case is that I have 95 spinning icons / apps. That would take me forever to delete and reinstall all of them. I'm holding out (hoping) for Wednesday Public Beta update that fixes the issue.

Besides the time element I have had instances where the 'stuck' Apps would not delete using the iPhone and I had to use iTunes.

    There is NO cord involved.

If you can and want to do it on your iPhone that is fine. I was just offering the OP the most foolproof method I have found to remedy the problem.

Also you can NEVER have too many current backups. I use iCloud nightly and backup to iTunes twice a week.

This is my issue. The apps that are stuck, don't show up on the phone for me to delete. It only shows in the app store as apps to update. So my only question was if I tried to delete it via itunes, does it require me to have to sync all of the apps as well? Or can I simply delete the app via itunes?

So they were on the phone and then vanished? Or they're on the homescreen and can't be deleted? You can try deleting them in the Storage settings instead. If they don't appear there, then I guess your last resort is deleting them via iTunes (if they show up there even). Once deleted in iTunes you can download them via Sync or on the device.

When I say cut the cord I mean operate the device without requiring a computer. I'm sorry if I offended you (not my intent!) but some people may never have connected their phone to a computer - and although I back up my phone to iTunes like you as well as to iCloud I know that most people these days won't.

Make sure your Apps are updated in iTunes and then make sure you have a current backup. Once you delete the Apps in iTunes from 'your' iPhone: Apps (NOT delete from iTunes App Library) you will have to sync your iPhone to iTunes for the changes (deletions) to happen on the iPhone. Then you can go in the App Store on you iPhone and download them again (you will get a download iCloud icon) or you can simply install them from iTunes and hit sync again and then will instal..

Hope this is what you asked. If confused (I'm somewhat of a 'mess' explaining ) I can upload a couple of screen shots.

Haha, thanks, this is what I was asking from the beginning, if I'd have to "sync" in Itunes, or can I simply delete the app. So from what you're saying, I'd actually have to do a sync in Itunes...and I hate that. Oh well.
