Lately I've been feeling hacked and it's not paranoia I just know it. So I jail broke my phone thinking there would be a billion more apps that would secure my IPhone 6 more than The regular App Store. But lately I've been reading from like every source you search on Google for jailbreaking or Cydia security that it was not a good idea to jailbreak because it puts your phone more at risk to be hacked by anyone, government etc..because it lacks apples restrictions, etc etc etc they have plenty of excuses but isn't there a app for that??? I'm just curious someone please tell me that they are just writing ******** articles to get attention although I think they may be true but it seems like there should be a way around that will all those apps that protect your phone that Cydia has. Someone tell me there's a way you can jailbreak your phone and secure it to the bones and give me apps apps apps!

To have virtually zero chance of being hacked, restore your phone to stock iOS. Apple has iOS locked down pretty well so that it's virtually impossible to "hack".

If you jailbreak don't add shady repos to Cydia and overall you should be safe. It's when you get into pirating and the pirating repos where something may affect your phone. Jailbreaking is pretty secure, just pay attention to what tweaks and stuff you install via Cydia.

I would just add that the only sure way to avoid being hacked (stock or jailbroken) is to stop using your iPhone altogether. Go to your local hardware store and purchase a large sledgehammer. Proceed to smash your iPhone to bits and the bits to bits.

That's the only way to be sure you will never be hacked.

If that is unacceptable (a pulverized iPhone you cannot use) then you are just going to have to accept the slight possiblity (however small) that you COULD be hacked.

There is NOTHING that can give you a 100% chance of avoiding being hacked.

Im saying like that's ridiculous I know that has to be possible but I'm just thinking about small-time hackers that just use apps and don't use codes and **** like people that specialize in **** like that. You can't make your phone completely anonymous go in like the mobile terminal and just change a bunch of **** up, download a few apps blocking people out of your ****???do you know the easiest way it is for a hacker to get into your phone and how they do it I'm just all over the place with this **** there just has to be some kind of way that apps in Cydia or the App Store or some kinda way you can completely safe guard your phone?!! Please help!

Best protection, do NOT jailbreak the iDevice, buy apps from the app store / iTunes and everything will be hunky doray!

On that note, what was described above is like saying the Plutoians are plotting an invasion on Mother Earth!

I saw that on TV once! Black and white from the 1950s! We were invaded and there was a fight between the Venusians and the Martians to control earth. Forgot who won but it doesn't matter because the aliens are running the world now!

Oh wait…that was a Twilight Zone episode! Never mind!

Still think my sledghammer idea was a pretty good one. Can't hack your phone if you don't have a phone to hack any more.

Well most of the news reports of latest hacking and stolen pictures & data are from icloud and likely many that were not jailbroken devices as well.
Stick with non cracked apps and know what you are installing.
