We are having some discussions on how much to ask new users to provide before using a social app. Our baseline is to allow users that install an app to see basic limited postings by other members before they register. Others suggest requiring registration for anyone that wants to see anything (which many major apps have gone to).

So the question is if you personally download an app would you register (email, password, username) before seeing any logged out content?

Registration to see content is fine as long as you don't require Facebook to register. I can't stand when apps require you to use Facebook or Twitter. I don't want my Facebook friends knowing every app I use.

Your app gives option of Email or Facebook so that's fine.

Developers stop requiring Facebook or your apps will be deleted!
