You think you can just run 1.2 over the old pangu to update it? No biggie I never looked at my crash log until this thread last night#lol...

No you have to restore like what Anthony said.
It says its already jailbroken. :(

I don't want to go thru that process again, no real issues here with 1.1.

changelog said:
3. afc2 is included now.

So anyone who now jailbreaks won't be aware that file access can still be granted through usb and programs like iFunbox unless they know what afc2 does and deletes it.

Bart no like. Bad medicine.

So i'm debating on whether to restore and rejailbreak because i would lose all my data since i don't like to use backups and i do experience the sandbox issue. I also am experiencing the light issue when rebooting my phone i have to put it up to a light or else the booting will crash, which restoring will bot fix since it was a pangu issue but i don't know if that problem has been fixed yet.

I used the first version. I unchecked to avoid the other software. So far, no issues. I'm only using bitesms to forward texts to my work phone. Anyone see a reason to restore and then rejailbreak?

At the moment, there doesn't seem to be any real reason to restore and rejailbreak if your device is currently working fine

I just realized that my messaging app is gone. Is this because i installed bitesms or a problem with the jailbreak.

For those wanting to restore and rejailbreak to fix the app sandbox log issue, the Pangu team also said they are going to release a cydia update to the untether package. Not sure of an ETA though :(.

Also, for those concerned with security due to the now included AFC2, there are a lot of people unhappy about this so you're not alone. It looks like several people are going to attempt to find a way to remove the service after updating to the new Pangu jailbreak. In fact, someone already released a tool on a 3rd party repo to disable to the newly added AFC2. People are testing now.

Saurik said that if you installed his afc2 after jailbreaking with pangu 1.2 and then removed it, it will remove afc2 from the jailbreak as well - or at worst make your phone 'jailed' again, don't know if it actually removes the effects of installing afc2 :/
