What happens with all of my apps that use Touch ID for security? I guess I have to turn it off and go back to a regular password?

No. Multiple reviewers have stated that it will work just like Touch ID. Apps don’t have Touch-ID-specific APIs, only biometric authentication APIs.

I have heard of some bank apps disabling the Face ID functionality to start. I am assuming this is because due to security reasons, they want to physically test out Face ID before enabling it.

Interesting. Since they don’t have unique APIs for Touch ID and Face ID, I guess they also disable Touch ID? I wonder how that works.
