Has anyone else had problems with apps that work fine on iPhone 8 but not on new SE? For me , the Citi Mobile App uses fingerprint login great on the 8 but does not work on new SE. Citi acknowledged the issue but does not have a fix. I’m puzzled why it wouldn’t work the same.

Sounds to me like incompetent app devs. If a bank can't build an app for multiple variants of the iPhone which is very uniform in architecture, how will it be with the sea of Androids? I would even consider switching to another bank.

So I deleted the app from both phones and downloaded again. Each phone downloaded a different version #. The iphone 8 download has the option for fingerprint login and the SE does not. I am really confused.

Happens very frequently especially with bank and financial apps. They won't allow apps on any phones that they haven't tested and passed their final security checks. Many times this final security protocol is performed by a third party. Poor planning on their part I agree, but not unusual. Don't forget, the 8 and the SE are different and have a different processor among other things.
