Is the multitasking for all apps working yet? I'm not seeing content up to date when I open the app for apps optimized for iOS 7.

The one time a month you go in there :?

I go in there quite often. Everytime I get a new app I organize it on its importance. The higher it is on the list...the more important it is. And my apps I sort of grouped together lol Social apps, news apps, music apps, stock apps (always on top) etc.

Yeaaaaah...I have a certain way I organize my iOS

----------

Must have a lot of bugs.. Seems like it just got updated in the past few days

I better see a new iOS 7 update tomorrow...-crosses fingers-

Zillow - no status bar.. Dose use ios7 keyboard.. New icon

I think some people are expecting too much. We can't expect every company to conform to Apple's design ideas. And it's probably best for us if they don't. Six months from now when the newness wears off, I don't want every app on my phone looking almost exactly the same as every other app.

Sure, I'd like some apps to at least flatten their icons, but even then - why should Instagram, an app that literally has an iconic icon, change it's most recognisable feature? I'm sure there are plenty of companies thinking the same thing I'm saying and they're going to take a wait and see approach and only update their stuff if it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to everyone else's apps. Some companies won't want to give Apple the power to redesign their apps.

I don't think anyone expects all apps to look 100% ios7

As far as icons are concerned.. Its a tough decision for app makers.. On one hand they might want to keep iconic icons... Like you say.. But on the other hand.. They want their apps right on peoples first home page where they will get the most use.. Icons that look weird or out of place are likely to get bumped to another page or folder. Not everyone will do that but a lot of people will.. So its just something they have to consider.. I think its possible to flatten an icon and keep it iconic at the same time.. But we will see..

Another point: Even companies planning updates might not want their's buried amongst 1000 other app updates. Twitter is releasing a small update today, but a major redesign is coming in a month or so. They obviously want people talking about it when it releases, so they'll do it when they can have the press attention to themselves.

Unless the developer lacks complete and utter design sense then I doubt they would all be cookie-cutter clones of iOS - unless you think think all apps under iOS 6 look cookie-cutter. I don't think they all did but most were identifiable as iOS apps in general. The only difference now is that there is a "classic" iOS style and a "modern" iOS style (much like Mac OS 9 vs Mac OS X).

I think that dev's who don't update fairly quickly to something that looks reasonably modern may risk losing a sizable portion of customers due to their apps seeming "outdated". I'm already watching to see what apps are getting updated as opposed to those who don't... and am checking out apps I've never tried before or had previously passed by.

I would be perfectly content if apps like Tumblr, Podcast, iBooks, etc would just take away the "shiny-ness" of their icon and updated to the new keyboard. I don't need an entire app resign right out the gate.

I'm okay seeing apps change little by little. Heck, Foursquare has been changing little by little and it looked almost the way it looks after the iOS 7 update already. They just flattened it out.

Don't know if it has been mentioned already, but Audible has been updated and finally works with iOS 7 :)

Never had a problem running Audible but glad it's working for you! It's got such a weird interface -- really hope they clean it up and give it an iOS 7 interface overhaul!

Actually it states that "This version of iBooks improves compatibility with iOS and iCloud"? ...why would they say iOS when it's an iOS app, should already be compatible?
Read as between iOS and icloud.

Ok, but, what exactly does that mean? It's not like there is iBooks app in iCloud. ...it just crashed on me, BTW, lol. ...edit, wait, I haven't actually updated it yet, maybe that's why it crashed  I forgot I turned automatic updates off.

RunKeeper got a nice iOS 7 facelift! Looks great and they joked in the update page that they cleaned up the app so much that your iPhone may actually feel lighter when out for a run!
