Things says it's updated with "full compatibility with watchOS 3".

Update 2: turns out Things 2 didn't properly support background refresh, but the latest beta version of Things 3 does. Hurray!

It looks like developers are not putting much effort on watchOS 3 as only a few apps are updated as of September 18th.

Also when I check out the Watch App Store from my iPhone on the Watch app all I can see are some few uninteresting apps that I wouldn't install on my Watch and as the store lacks tools for discovering new apps it's very difficult to find the interesting ones if any.

I don't get it. The Apple Watch and the watchOS (both versions 1.0 and 2.0) were slow, clunky and pretty much an "alpha" product. watchOS 3, though, completely solved 95% of the problems of the watch and we are still not seeing much interest from app developers in it. Why so? It doesn't seem to make much sense to me - and I predict that the Apple Watch will become more and more app-centric - albeit through small and quick interactions - over time... I really wish more developers created groundbreaking apps for it. For example, I'd love to be reminded by the Financial Times of the recent news with my watch...

Watch Wings - an Apple watch Flappy Bird clone has been updated to watchOS3, with Spritekit support.

This feels like a first true action game on a watch to me, the input reaction is instant, can be played by spinning the crown (works pretty well actually) and it's running at a smooth framerate. It can also now be played on the phone.

How can I tell if my version of Dark Sky is updated for watchOS 3?

It has been giving me real trouble since I updated my watch.

Open the app on your iPhone and tap the gear icon top right of the home screen. The latest version is 5.2.2. If you installed this version on your iPhone then it should automatically update on your Watch.

I've updated my calculator app Totalizer, with watchOS3 specific features: Scribble for equation input, and digital crown rotation to increase / decrease the last number in the equation (useful for checking how much the total changes if you increase/decrease the percentage of your tip, for example).

I've updated my Nest app Thermo Watch to take advantage of watchOS3. Now when you slide to the app in the dock, it will show the last state retrieved in the background. Updates are performed every few minutes if you keep the app in the dock and a complication on a watch face.

Crypto Pro - Bitcoin Ticker and Watch Complication
-
updated to watchOS 3, added support for Extra Large and Utilitarian Small complications, watch interface was adapted to use vertical paging (like default weather or stocks app) and complications are now configurable from iPhone's Watch app / My Watch / Crypto Pro

Edit: Can somebody add it to the list?
