Is it normal for an app that allows and is being shared via family share to display a price/buy icon in the app store?

I've tried to download a paid app that I know was being shared and I didn't get billed for it. Shouldn't there just be a cloud icon to show it's been purchased already?

I'm wondering the same thing. I recently enabled family share in preparation for Apple music and have encountered the same exeperience. I even called apple support who said it was NOT normal, however I'm not sure the support rep I spoke to actually knew how family share is suppose to work. They have escalated my issue to an engineer so hopefully I'll hear back shortly. In the meantime, can some else on the forum who actually understands Family Share confirm this behavior is normal?

Thanks
