Apps with Notifications appear with no specific Watch support?

I wonder if apps that have regular notifications will display on the Apple Watch?

Specifically will Microsoft Outlook new emails show up?
I am not concerned about reading or responding at this point but just would like notifications to appear until Microsoft adds support.

Yes. The Watch ties into Notification Center so any app that hasn't been enhanced for Apple Watch will still push through a generic notification to the watch.

So does that mean notifications from apps like WhatsApp will be displayed on the watch?

All notifications on your phone can be pushed to the watch but they will be non-interactive unless the developer specifically codes interactivity into them.
